Pressac seems to contradict himself, however, when he says an autoclave (a vessel for sterilizing by steam) is, and is not, a gas chamber. Photo #36 (pg. 83) shows bricked-up windows which contained exhaust fans at some point. Pressac erroneously describes the fans as ventilator fans.
